Virginia Workforce Centers
~the region’s newest resource for jobs, career development, and employment information~

Virginia Workforce Centers in the central Shenandoah Valley are sponsored by the Shenandoah Valley Workforce Investment Board. Area workforce development service agencies, training providers, and other organizations have come together as Network Facilitation Teams to provide information and services in a single location.

The Centers’ mission and pledge to customers is: "To provide integrated, user-friendly, and responsive services to our community of employers, workers, and job seekers."

The Centers are full-service facilities with information and resources for employment and career development, providing services for job seekers as well as services for employers.

Customers come first in the Virginia Workforce Centers. The Centers offer the community a wide range of service options from self-service to full-service. Knowledgeable staff work together as a team to provide the most comprehensive and efficient workforce development system possible.

There are five Virginia Workforce Centers in the central Shenandoah Valley. Three of these facilities have been home to the Virginia Employment Commission. While the VEC is still located in the facilities, other organizations are now on-site or represented, making it the one-stop center for the community’s workforce development needs.
